ABOUT WILD DOG FITNESS

Founded by a mom who has been passionate about fitness for half her life, WDF is about coming alongside women in their fitness journey and showing them that no matter the season of life they're in showing up for yourself is possible.

About Me

Rachel Richardson

Thank you for stopping by! I figured I'd let you know a little about the woman behind this whole thing. Working out has been a big part of my life for a long time. It has led me to various career opportunities, relationships and hobbies. My passion for physical training has only increased after becoming a mom.

I have experience working as a PT Assistant in both outpatient and inpatient settings. Having the opportunity of helping my patients in their recovery process has been such a privilege. Yet I always wanted more. I wanted to be part of the lifelong change that comes from consistently training. It's because I know how powerful consistent training is not just physically but also mentally, emotionally and spiritually. God uses it to shape us to have character, perseverance, endurance.

I started this business after having my second baby. My knowledge and experience of working out greatly helped me in my postpartum recoveries. But it made me think of the moms who didn't know how to train or where to start. I could emphasize with the women who are trying to figure out how to be fit all while adjusting to a new life of caring for another.

That's why I started this personal training business. While I love the adrenaline of competing in a race and some could say I'm addicted to the dopamine of lifting weights, I'll never judge the beginner. My heart is for the newbie, the "underdog", the mom who is "starting over". I was once there too.  My passion comes from a place of wanting everyone to experience the gift of intentional training. It goes beyond just lifting weights, it's a place to grow in every way. I hope we can be friends and maybe even lifting buddies someday!
